re. Kwana article

I wish to comment on name usage in following article, “Ousted president
fascinated by local book”, in reference to referring to eThekweni
Municipality’s head of international relations and governance, which is in
itself quite a remarkable description, as “Eric Applegreen”. Hardly
correct, but certainly ingenious and entertaining all the same, given
direct translation of Appelgrein to Applegreen, yet referred to on
http://www.durban.gov.za website as Appelgren, note the 2 p’s.

Of course, non as original as yours though, which I would assume would be
correct direct English translation and although I for my version would
have assumed correct spelling to have been Appelgrein having had the
honour of meeting him once when he took some time to personally have a
word with the poor folks of Durban, I must say that this name certainly
does ring a bell.
